Admission Committee

The Admission Committee of National College for Teacher Education functions as a key regulatory body ensuring transparency, merit-based selection and adherence to university and government norms during the admission process for B.Ed. and M.Ed. programmes. The college, affiliated with Mahatma Gandhi University and approved by NCTE, strictly follows the guidelines laid down by these regulatory bodies.

The committee is constituted at the beginning of each academic year under the leadership of the Principal. It includes senior faculty members, office staff and representatives from the IQAC.

The committee oversees:

▪️Public notification of course availability and eligibility criteria.
▪️Verification of candidate eligibility and academic records.
▪️Supervision of the admission schedule in line with university directions.
▪️Ensuring reservations and quotas are implemented as per government policy.
▪️Conduct of interviews or counselling sessions, wherever applicable.

Admission is carried out through a transparent process where all rules and regulations are clearly communicated to students and guardians at the time of admission. The institution ensures the fair representation of SC/ST/OBC and minority students as per the sanctioned seat matrix. The signed declaration forms and policy agreements ensure that all stakeholders understand their roles and responsibilities.

The committee is supported by the administrative office in documentation and data uploading to the university portal. Necessary support for SC/ST and EWS grants is also initiated at this stage.

Annual reviews are conducted to assess and improve the admission procedure. Feedback is collected from students and parents to enhance the overall experience.
